For the guys that did not play D2

There are a lot of people out there that watched the Diablo3 cinematic, photos and artwork and got really hooked. They want to play it and get the feel of the Diablo World.

Only one thing is wrong, they did not play D1 or D2 in the past, and now they are curious. They are searching the forums, gameplay videos on youtube and stories about the epic battles in the previous games.

My thoughts … guys, play the original games. Buy the Battle Chest, you will get Diablo, Diablo II,and the expansion :Lord of Destruction (it is really cheap now). Buy it and taste the blood and hack-and-slash action.

One thing i have to say to the ones that never tried this game, it is VERY different from WoW. This is a fast paced insane game but it must be carefully planned. There are a huge number of character builds out there, some are good but most are bad, so watch out.

Also by playing the games (at least D2) you will know a bit of history, you will have a background to start D3 when it comes out. Add this with Cain’s journal on diablo3.com and you will be able to follow the storyline.

The old D1 and D2 games are classics and they deserve a place in your game collection

11 years of Diablo

Diablo 1 was released on January 2, 1997. 11 years have passed since my first encounter with the darkness and 11 years since i fell in love with a video game.
People ask me, why was Diablo such a monster of a game ?

And my reply always is : Diablo still is a monster of a game, a monster that spread all over the world gathering millions of dedicated fans. it rulled our lives for 11 years and now it comes back stronger and angrier. It was an adictive game, fast and insane with a million possibilities. It made the gamer think, plan and act in a unique way. Words can’t say enough about this game (I and II)

Of course we say monster in a good way 🙂

Since it was relleased on the market it ruled the charts, Blizzard has broken some records with this game and made a few bucks in the process (well a lot)

Are we ready for a new Diablo era ?

The III is here, let us prepare

Another interview with Jay Wilson

Jay Wilson the Lead Designer of Diablo3 speaks more about the new game.
He speaks the truth about the hardcore gameplay in Diablo II and the difficulty to match that in D3.
The reason they took out the potion system to make the player less immortal during the game, to make the game more tactical (an unique view if i may say)

He speaks also about the team play mode in D3 and that is the backbone of the Diablo World
He speaks about the items and monsters, new info about the game stage
He speaks about the game mechanics and much more. No more talking let us hear what the man says 🙂

See the interview here

There STILL is no official release date for Diablo 3
We want more !

The Diablo Timeline

I love a great game community, and I love when the developers and game companies make “presents” for the fans. Here is one of them related to the Diablo Universe

  • Do you want to know the chronological background of Sanctuary ?
  • The history the Sanctuary ? Where it all began ?
  • How the Prime Evils got out of the Burning Hells in the first place ?
  • We all do, and Blizzard knows that, so they built the Diablo Timeline where they explain some of the events that took place in the old days. They track the history from the very beginning (D1) until the end of the D2 game
There you will get more information about Diablo, Baal, Mephisto and the hero Tyrael. I will say no more, just read the timeline and feel the shivers running through your spine.

Rise up Diablo Fan! and stand by your favourite game!
